Well, in order to succeed in business, it has always been my belief that I needed to know and understand the competition.
That’s why today I am sharing this video from Businessweek.com, dubbed the Death of the Business Trip, for you all to take a look at. It details the benefits of using a service like Cisco’s TelePresence as opposed to scheduling business trips for key staff.
I would no sooner believe that this video or the product it touts spells the “end” of business travel or corporate housing, but it is good to know where technology is going and why. You just can’t completely replace all human interaction with technology–it just won’t work in all cases. But here’s evidence that there are those out there giving it their best shot.
Comments? Let’s keep the discussion going. I’d like to know what you think.

I think that web meetings are great for maintenance, but now is one of the most important times to travel and get iun front of the audience to tell your story that I have experienced in my career. When everyone else is hunkered down is the time to expand – perhaps frugally, certainly methodically – but aggressively.
